Cyber Operations Manager

About the role

Flash is seeking a Cyber Operations Manager to lead its 24/7 fraud and security monitoring team. You will be responsible for ensuring continuous surveillance of Flash systems, detecting and resolving threats, fraud incidents, and critical events while driving operational excellence across all shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the round‑the‑clock technology and information‑security monitoring function, including scheduling, workload distribution and contingency planning.
• Act as the primary escalation authority for high‑severity fraud cases and system incidents, coordinating cross‑functional responses.
• Oversee incident logging, case management records and shift handover documentation for quality, accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor team performance against SLAs, KPIs and quality standards, reporting trends and implementing corrective actions.
• Develop, maintain and enforce SOPs, escalation protocols and runbooks to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Manage the full people‑management lifecycle: performance reviews, coaching, development planning and conduct issues.
• Produce data‑driven reports, threat‑trend analyses and operational dashboards for senior leadership.
• Collaborate with information‑security, fraud, technology, compliance and risk teams to align monitoring strategy with organisational risk appetite and regulatory obligations.
• Identify and champion continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance detection accuracy and reduce false positives.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, Finance, Business Management or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, fraud analytics, SOC or critical‑systems monitoring.
• Post‑graduate qualification or management diploma is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• CompTIA Security+ certification (or equivalent).
• ITIL Foundation certification (or equivalent).
• Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or similar fraud‑management certification.
