Cyber Incident Response Technician

About the role

The Cyber Incident Response Technician will help maintain the company’s security posture by proactively identifying, tracking, and mitigating IT incidents. The role also supports risk management, compliance, procurement of IT services, audit issue resolution, and overall IT governance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, track and respond to IT security incidents in collaboration with the Managed Security Operations Center (MSOC).
• Assist in triaging, investigating and mitigating cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
• Support incident containment, eradication and recovery phases of the Incident Response Lifecycle.
• Document and report incidents according to the company’s Incident Response Plan.
• Help develop and update incident response playbooks and documentation.
• Support the GRC team in risk identification, assessment and mitigation, including KRI reporting.
• Assist in tracking and reviewing policies, procedures and standards for regulatory alignment.
• Participate in procurement processes for IT goods and services, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
• Track and remediate IT audit findings and support compliance closure activities.
• Manage security patch deployment for critical systems, validate patches and maintain audit records.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in an IT‑related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in IT security, risk management or compliance monitoring.
• Cybersecurity certifications are an added advantage.
