Customer Support Agent - Telco Upgrades Contact Centre, Durban

About the role

ShiftMate is recruiting Customer Support Agents for a contact centre in Durban that handles telco upgrade campaigns. The agents support customers by phone, email and chat, resolving queries, updating records and processing upgrade orders and delivery enquiries. The role is permanent and full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customers by phone, email and live chat
• Resolve queries, update customer records and process routine requests
• Escalate complex cases to the right team and track them to the end
• Write clear, polite messages in good English
• Meet reply-time and quality targets
• Process upgrade orders, delivery queries and contract paperwork

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12)
• At least 6 months of call-centre or customer-service experience; email or chat support experience is an advantage
• Strong written English, as you will write to customers every day
• Organised and able to handle several open cases at once

Required skills

• Good typing speed
• Confident use of email, chat tools and a CRM
