Customer Service Advisor

About the role

Ellio is looking for a Customer Service Advisor to join its Cape Town team. In this full-time position you will be the first point of contact for retail customers across voice, email, web-chat and other digital channels, delivering a premium experience that reflects the brand’s values.

Key responsibilities

• Handle a wide range of retail queries including orders, product information, delivery, returns and general enquiries.
• Use effective questioning techniques to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Deliver a personalised, high-standard service while paying close attention to detail.
• Educate customers on self-service options and available products.
• Resolve issues efficiently to ensure a positive journey and minimise repeat contacts.
• Meet operational targets and adhere to schedules, attendance and delivery standards.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment while maintaining quality and performance expectations.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent with a clear criminal record.
• 6‑12 months experience in an international contact-centre, preferably in high-end retail.
• Strong written and spoken English with professional articulation.
• Excellent communication, active listening and questioning skills.
• Customer-centric mindset and ability to manage complex interactions.
• Problem‑solving ability, attention to detail and solid time‑management.
• Adaptability, resilience and the capacity to multitask.

Required skills

• Computer literacy and proficiency in navigating business systems.
