Customer Request Coordinator – Maternity Cover

About the role

Absolute Pets, South Africa’s leading pet specialist retailer, is seeking a Customer Request Coordinator on a maternity cover basis. Reporting to the Buying Manager, you will support stores by sourcing products for customer requests and ensuring a seamless fulfilment process.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with sourcing products for customer requests.
• Ensure all requests are addressed and customers receive timely feedback.
• Oversee the end‑to‑end follow‑through of each request to maintain the Absolute Pets customer experience.
• Arrange movement of stock between stores and warehouses as needed.
• Liaise with stores, warehouses and suppliers to fulfil requests.
• Communicate professionally and promptly with customers about their requests.
• Recommend alternative products when appropriate.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of supplier ranges and build supplier relationships.
• Negotiate price and quantity with suppliers.
• Provide weekly reporting on customer requests to managers.
• Support the merchandise team with ad‑hoc duties.
