Customer Banking Specialist – Chadstone

About the role

The Customer Banking Specialist is the public face of CommBank at our Chadstone branch, delivering a seamless banking experience to personal and small‑business customers. You will engage with clients throughout key life moments, from opening their first account to planning retirement, using both in‑branch and digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth conversations to understand customers' banking needs, including home loans, business banking and financial advice.
• Assist with enquiries, account maintenance and processing applications for credit products.
• Perform Financial Health Checks to identify customers’ financial goals and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Demonstrate in‑branch technology and digital banking tools, educating customers on their use.
• Problem‑solve and provide effective solutions while adhering to risk‑averse processes and compliance standards.
• Work scheduled rosters: Mon‑Thu 12 pm‑4 pm, Sat 9:45 am‑2:15 pm.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering exceptional customer service, preferably in financial services, retail or hospitality.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly.
• Strong questioning and problem‑solving abilities, acting with integrity and a customer‑centric mindset.
• Comfortable working in a busy, commercial retail environment and delivering holistic solutions.
