About the role

Join Woolworths as a Customer Assistant – Operations in Richards Bay. You will support daily store operations, ensuring a smooth shopping experience and high standards of product presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with daily store operations, including opening and closing tasks.
• Support stock management by receiving, unpacking, and organizing inventory.
• Maintain attractive and orderly product displays in line with company standards.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Conduct regular stock counts and assist with inventory control procedures.
• Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and operational goals.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure a safe workplace.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience, preferably in a customer‑facing role.
• Basic knowledge of stock management and inventory control.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced team.
• Good numerical ability for stock counts and cash handling.
• Attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
