Customer Assistant – Fashion, Beauty & Home (Blue Route)

About the role

Join Woolworths as a Customer Assistant in the Fashion, Beauty & Home department at the Blue Route Mall. You will be part of a leading retailer focused on delivering exceptional service, maintaining product availability, and supporting sales growth while minimizing losses.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers, providing product advice and tailored solutions.
• Maintain on‑floor stock levels by managing stockroom inventory and replenishing the sales floor promptly.
• Apply basic selling techniques to identify customer needs and present appropriate products.
• Ensure merchandise is correctly ticketed, displayed, and aligned according to Woolworths merchandising standards.
• Keep the sales floor and back‑of‑house areas clean, safe, and well‑organized.
• Monitor stock loss and report any suspicious behaviour in line with shop‑keeping disciplines.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent qualification (NQF level preferred).
• Previous experience in retail or fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) is advantageous.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with clear verbal and written communication.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain merchandising standards.
• Basic numeracy and literacy to process sales information.
• Reliability in attendance, dress code, hygiene and punctuality.
• Flexibility to work various shifts in a dynamic retail environment.
