Creditors Clerk – Full‑time in Durbanville

About the role

Our client, a leading supplier of aggregates, readymix concrete and hollowcore slabs, is looking for a diligent Creditors Clerk to join their finance team in Durbanville. You will report to the Financial Manager and play a vital part in maintaining accurate supplier payments and supporting the smooth operation of the creditors function across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, verify and process supplier invoices and credit notes.
• Match invoices to purchase orders, delivery notes and supporting documentation.
• Validate pricing, quantities, VAT treatment and account allocations.
• Capture invoices in the system within required deadlines.
• Reconcile supplier statements monthly and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare payment schedules for approval and ensure payments meet agreed terms.
• Maintain accurate supplier master data and respond to queries promptly.
• Liaise with operational departments to obtain missing documentation and approvals.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Creditors Clerk or similar.
• Strong knowledge of South African VAT legislation.
• Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
• Own reliable transport.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Market‑related salary based on experience (R25 000 – R30 000 per month).

• Standard working hours: Mon‑Thu 08:00‑17:00, Fri 08:00‑15:00.
• Annual shutdown during the builder’s holiday in December/January.
