Credit Controller

About the role

National Renal Care, a leading kidney‑disease management provider in South Africa, is looking for a proactive Credit Controller to join its Credit Control Department. The role focuses on optimising cash flow by ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts and maintaining strong relationships with medical schemes, patients and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Collect outstanding balances and allocate payments accurately across debtor accounts.
• Investigate and resolve account queries in collaboration with Billing, Finance, dialysis units and external stakeholders.
• Process remittances, improve debtor ageing, and perform regular reconciliations.
• Monitor and reduce debtor days while minimising bad‑debt exposure.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, POPIA and relevant legislation.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 qualification; a Certificate/Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field is advantageous.
• 3–5 years experience in credit control, debtors administration or accounts receivable, preferably within healthcare or medical‑scheme environments.
• Proven experience managing debtor ageing, collections and payment allocations.
• Strong knowledge of accounts‑receivable principles, cash‑collection strategies and medical‑scheme billing processes.

• Financial and debtor‑management systems.
• EDI claims processing.
• POPIA and information‑governance compliance.
