Credit Controller

About the role

Join a fast‑scaling fintech organisation in Sandton as a Credit Controller. You will protect cash flow, strengthen credit controls and drive process improvements while maintaining strong customer relationships in a high‑volume, data‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform credit checks and onboard new customer accounts.
• Drive collections to meet KPI targets and manage debtor relationships.
• Allocate and reconcile customer payments accurately.
• Manage overdue accounts, payment plans, demand letters and account holds.
• Escalate high‑risk accounts and bad debts as required.
• Prepare age‑analysis reports with clear commentary and insights.
• Process debit orders, refunds and adjustment journals.
• Maintain accurate customer master data and resolve queries professionally.
• Support audit requirements and ensure compliance with controls.
• Identify and implement continuous improvements in credit processes.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Credit Management, Accounting or related field, or a Level 4/5 Credit Management Certificate.
• Minimum 5 + years’ experience in credit control and risk management.
• Proven experience managing high‑volume debtor books and collections.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement.
• Ability to balance firm collections with strong customer relationships.

Required skills

• Accpac or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel.
