Credit Controller – Hospital Group (Lenasia, Gauteng)

About the role
The Credit Controller will ensure timely collection of patient accounts for a hospital group, supporting profitability and financial health. Reporting to the Credit Control Supervisor, the role involves evaluating new accounts, managing overdue balances and maintaining accurate records.
Key responsibilities
- Process and assess all new patient accounts for creditworthiness.
- Obtain required authorisations for credit applications.
- Communicate payment reminders and collection notices to patients.
- Monitor and collect overdue balances in line with group policy.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining the hospital’s credit control system.
- Support final authorisation of Managed Care patient files and ensure correct coding.
- Maintain up‑to‑date records of all account activities.
Required profile
- Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 qualification (Financial Diploma advantageous).
- Minimum three years of administrative or clerical experience in a hospital environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with financial data.
Required skills
- Microsoft Excel
- SAP (knowledge advantageous)
