Credit Controller – FMCG

About the role

Premier FMCG is seeking a Credit Controller to manage the collection of due and overdue accounts across its wholesale, independent and foodservice customers. The role ensures accurate reconciliations, resolves discrepancies, and maintains compliance with agreed credit limits and terms.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile large wholesale, independent and foodservice accounts.
• Resolve customer queries through visits and written communication.
• Secure prompt payment from customers within agreed terms and keep overdue balances (60+ days) below 5%.
• Maintain the RM system customer master data via MDM.
• Validate customer deductions and obtain authorisations from Customer Managers.
• Ensure timely claim of rebates and promotions from the Rebates Department.
• Compile daily and monthly reports and release orders as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in FMCG credit control.
• Matric/Grade 12 qualification; a Diploma in Credit Control is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of credit control processes within the FMCG environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
