Courier Coordinator

About the role

Spitz is seeking a Courier Coordinator to manage the efficient movement of stock between the Head Office and courier partners in Bryanston, Johannesburg. You will play a key role in ensuring parcels are received, inspected, documented, and dispatched accurately while supporting customs clearance and cost reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Receive parcels from couriers or Spitz drivers and inspect for tampering and correct delivery details.
• Register incoming parcels in the receipt book and notify recipients of delivery.
• Prepare parcels for outbound shipment, generate waybills, attach invoices, and track parcels through the courier system.
• Maintain waybill and manifest records, and file copies for audit purposes.
• Coordinate customs import clearance, verify documentation, and ensure correct tariff classifications and duties are applied.
• Create shipment numbers and inbound deliveries in SAP, link them to shipments, and export costing data to Excel for buyer approval.
• Provide accurate cost estimates for local deliveries and support buyers with cost approvals.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedural guidelines.
• Experience handling parcel logistics, customs documentation, and cost reporting.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with internal teams and external courier partners.
