Country Manager / Sales Director

About the role

We are seeking a high‑calibre Country Manager / Sales Director to lead our South African operations for a leading European compressor manufacturer. You will own full P&L responsibility and shape the commercial strategy across sales, marketing, finance and logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all local operations, ensuring seamless integration between sales, finance and supply‑chain functions.
• Identify emerging market trends to diversify revenue streams and capture high‑value opportunities.
• Mentor, inspire and develop a high‑performing, accountable team.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key accounts, industry bodies and allies.
• Monitor competitive shifts to keep the brand the preferred choice in the region.

Required profile

• 7+ years of senior management experience with a proven record of revenue growth and market expansion.
• Strong financial acumen and deep understanding of the South African business landscape.
• Executive presence with the ability to deliver compelling C‑suite and board presentations.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
