Cook / Kitchen Staff – Full‑time

About the role

We are looking for a reliable and skilled Cook/Kitchen Staff member to join our team at Shift Espresso Bar. The role involves preparing and cooking meals, maintaining a clean kitchen environment, and supporting smooth daily operations in a fast‑paced setting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and equipment.
• Store food properly and rotate stock regularly.
• Follow health and safety guidelines at all times.
• Assist with inventory management and stock control.
• Handle kitchen utensils, cookware, and appliances safely.
• Support the kitchen team during daily service and special events.
• Monitor food quality and presentation.

Required profile

• Passionate about food and eager to learn new techniques.
• Attention to detail in food quality, presentation and hygiene.
• Team‑player with a positive, adaptable attitude.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Physically fit to stand for long periods and lift objects up to 25 kg.
• Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Culinary training or certification (preferred).
