Controller – Operations & Fleet Management

About the role

The Controller will support the Operations Manager at our Worcester branch, ensuring smooth scheduling, secure handling of confidential information, and effective fleet tracking for armored vehicle operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the flow of schedules, issue confidential documents and track fleet movements.
• Maintain GPS, radio and telephonic communication with vehicle crews, ensuring real‑time location awareness.
• Enforce emergency procedures and code usage during all transmissions.
• Record precise daily log sheets covering GPS spots, service numbers, standby situations and schedule deviations.
• Contact clients to confirm service changes and resolve complaints.
• Conduct thorough morning and afternoon vehicle checks, verifying safe loading, interlocking systems, panic buttons and overall vehicle condition.
• Prepare bag pre‑lists for the vault room and update the vault controller on any changes.
• Liaise with other branches for emergency planning and coordinate incident response with the manager.
• File and store all documentation in an orderly, traceable manner.

Required profile

• Matric qualification with a clear criminal record and valid driver’s licence.
• PDPPSIRA accreditation (Grade C) is advantageous.
• Minimum of 2 years’ CIT experience.
• Computer literate and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Clear disciplinary record.
