Control Room Officer – Logistics & Risk Management

About the role

The Control Room Officer ensures smooth logistics operations and risk management within the control centre. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the officer monitors runs, communicates with clients, and maintains compliance with SOPs and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor all logistics and special runs, ensuring adherence to planned routes and SLA targets.
• Maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships and keep customers informed of arrivals via phone or email.
• Communicate relevant information to the Team Controller: Logistics following SOPs and radio procedures.
• Verify that control‑room equipment and software are operational; log faults and record client calls.
• Liaise with the Risk Department, report incidents, maintain panic‑activation records, and follow Business Continuity plans.
• Advise clients on delivery/collection ETAs, adjust geo‑fences, and escalate deviations.
• Support ISO 9001:2015 compliance and ESG reporting requirements.
• Drive departmental culture, lead change initiatives, and facilitate training or workshops.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a control‑room or logistics monitoring environment.
• Strong understanding of risk management processes and ISO 9001 standards.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and stakeholder coordination.
• Ability to work under pressure, follow SOPs, and manage multiple exceptions.
