Contracts Administration Manager (Mowbray, Cape Town)

About the role

The Contracts Administration Manager will lead the contracts team, ensuring high‑quality output that meets company, client, regulatory and contractual standards. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role oversees contract planning, execution and compliance across mineral processing and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement work procedures, practices and plans for contract management.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, vendors and external stakeholders.
• Lead the contracts team, ensuring compliance with project‑specific requirements and industry standards.
• Create contract management plans, schedules and budgets, and monitor delivery against them.
• Maintain contract registers, back‑charge logs, site instructions, variation records and insurance documentation.
• Expedite contract deliverables and provide regular updates, weekly reports and feedback to the relevant manager.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification (degree or diploma) in Commerce or Business.
• Minimum 10 + years experience in contracts within minerals or related industries.
• South African citizen or permanent resident.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of contract law and contract document requirements.
• Broad multidisciplinary knowledge of mineral processing plant and infrastructure construction.
• Awareness of statutory and industry standards.
• Ability to work independently while delivering high‑quality results within budget and schedule constraints.
