Content & Marketing Executive – Remote (Cape Town)

About the role

TechRound, a fast‑growing online publication covering startups, tech and entrepreneurship, is seeking a Content and Marketing Executive. Working remotely from Cape Town, you will support the editorial and digital marketing teams by creating and publishing content, researching innovative companies and assisting with campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Publish 2‑3 articles daily on the TechRound website using WordPress.
• Research startups, tech news and trends across the UK, Europe, US and UAE.
• Assist in planning and executing weekly and monthly marketing campaigns and feature lists.
• Collaborate with the editorial team on special features, lists and campaign ideas.
• Conduct outreach, business development activities and client correspondence.
• Arrange and manage interviews with founders and industry experts.
• Support the organisation of monthly competitions and perform general administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Native or bilingual proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Familiarity with WordPress for content publishing.
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Docs/Sheets.
• Basic understanding of SEO and digital marketing is a plus.
• Previous interview or client‑facing experience is advantageous.

• Remote work based in Cape Town.
• Starting salary of R15,000 per month, increasing to R17,000 after probation.
