Construction Site Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Construction Site Manager to lead on‑site activities for our projects in Kawambwa, Zambia. The role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery while coordinating with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day site operations, adhering to project plans, schedules and specifications.
• Supervise site staff, contractors and subcontractors, fostering accountability and efficiency.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental standards in line with Zambian regulations and company policies.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design, quality standards and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate procurement, delivery and use of materials, equipment and labour resources.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly progress reports to senior management.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and local authorities to resolve issues and maintain positive relationships.
• Identify risks, delays or technical challenges and implement corrective measures promptly.
• Assist in cost control, budget monitoring and minimising waste.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience managing medium to large‑scale construction projects, preferably in Zambia or Southern Africa.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and regulatory requirements.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to work on‑site in Kawambwa.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
