Construction Manager – Mpumalanga

About the role

We are seeking a high‑level Construction Manager to lead infrastructural distribution, transmission or power‑station projects in and around Mpumalanga. The role oversees on‑site civil and electrical construction, contract administration, safety enforcement and schedule tracking, ensuring compliance with high‑voltage regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily electrical and civil construction activities, guaranteeing alignment with technical designs and client‑approved schedules.
• Administer engineering contracts, resolve contractual issues, handle site variations and allocate resources dynamically.
• Enforce Operating Regulations for High Voltage Systems (ORHVS), overseeing permit‑to‑work, isolation, earthing and risk‑mitigation procedures.
• Liaise with Control Officers and Authorized Persons to maintain live tracking and safe hand‑backs without grid disruptions.
• Uphold Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) standards, approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and drive milestone completion for final hand‑over.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction management of electrical and civil infrastructure projects.
• Valid certification in the Operating Regulations for High Voltage Systems (ORHVS).
• Familiarity with Eskom policies, project lifecycles and contract administration.
• Strong commitment to zero‑harm safety culture and SHEQ governance.
