Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer to ensure smooth and efficient operation of our factory machines. The role involves developing CNC programs, overseeing quality control, and training new staff on CNC equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain optimal machine performance and production efficiency.
• Perform quality control to guarantee component standards.
• Install tooling, set offsets, and optimise feeds and speeds.
• Develop CNC programs using Master‑CAM based on drawings and 3D models.
• Create machining procedures for CNC lathes and mills.
• Train onboarding employees on CNC machinery and equipment.
• Write software to assist CNC program creation and monitor processes as needed.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of CNC programming experience.
• Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics/Trigonometry.
• Advanced arithmetic and mathematics skills.
• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Trade Test Tradesman/Artisan in Machinist, Milling and Turning.
• Knowledge of CNC tooling.
• Understanding and application of Health and Safety regulations.

What we offer

• Competitive salary ranging from R20,000 to R28,000 per month, dependent on experience.
