About the role

Join DirectAxis’s in‑house Risk team as a Compliance Manager in Cape Town. You will act as a key partner to the business, providing expert advice and hands‑on support for the compliance programme while ensuring risk maturity stays within acceptable thresholds.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and oversee the Group’s compliance frameworks and programmes in consultation with business units.
• Ensure adherence to organisational policies, regulatory and ethical standards.
• Conduct regular audits, design control systems and assist in developing company policies.
• Control expenditure and identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Build and maintain working relationships across teams to promote collaboration and innovation.
• Deliver exceptional customer experience aligned with organisational values and service standards.
• Provide accurate business intelligence and analysis to improve decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven experience in compliance and risk management within a financial services environment.
• Ability to interpret and apply regulatory and ethical standards.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement.
