Community Advisor – Alternative Channel (12‑Month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

As a Community Advisor for FNB’s Alternative Channel (Pick ‘n Pay Initiative), you will deliver an exceptional customer experience by understanding client needs, recommending tailored banking solutions, and guiding customers to the most appropriate service channels, including digital and self‑service options.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a positive and helpful experience.
• Explain banking processes and requirements in clear, simple language.
• Educate customers on the correct banking platforms that match their needs.
• Analyse customer data to recommend personalised financial solutions.
• Identify sales opportunities and support portfolio growth.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and service standards.
• Work within a shift‑based schedule at the Alternative Channel location.

Required profile

• Grade 12/NQF Level 4 minimum; NQF Level 5 Certificate in Banking, Business Administration, Customer Service or related field is preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in customer‑facing, service delivery or client support within financial services.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
• Commitment to ethical conduct and continuous personal development.

Required skills

• Ability to guide customers toward digital and self‑service solutions.
• Confidence in explaining banking products and services.
