Commodity Sales Account Manager

About the role

The Commodity Sales Account Manager will serve as the primary contact for both existing and new enterprise customers in Cape Town, driving account growth and revenue. You will align internal specialist resources with customer opportunities and ensure end‑to‑end delivery of solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities, secure profitable revenue and achieve sales targets.
• Manage and grow assigned enterprise customer accounts.
• Build deep knowledge of First Technology solutions and articulate value to CXO‑level prospects.
• Own the full sales cycle: pipeline management, CRM updates, quoting, and proposal preparation.
• Collaborate with internal sales divisions, pre‑sales, marketing, events and support teams.
• Maintain accurate account plans, handle technical liaison and ensure correct billing.
• Monitor pipeline forecasts, vendor deal registrations and pricing processes.

Required profile

• Based in Cape Town with a strong local network.
• Technical background in hardware, commodity solutions and video‑conferencing technologies.
• Proven record of exceeding gross‑profit sales targets.
• 5+ years in account management or sales within IT/hardware/commodity sectors.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and sales pipeline management.
• Hunter‑farmer mindset with excellent relationship‑building abilities.
