Commercial Workshop Manager

About the role

The commercial vehicle dealership in Durban seeks an experienced Commercial Workshop Manager to lead its busy workshop. You will be responsible for driving efficiency, productivity and profitability while maintaining high standards of service and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring all repairs meet manufacturer standards.
• Lead, coach and develop technicians, foremen and support staff.
• Monitor workshop KPIs, labour sales and profitability, producing regular performance reports.
• Coordinate with Parts and Service departments to guarantee smooth workflow.
• Maintain quality control, on‑time vehicle delivery and high customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and company policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Commercial Workshop Manager in the commercial vehicle sector.
• Proven track record managing workshop staff, productivity and profitability.
• Stable employment history with verifiable references.
• Matric (Grade 12) qualification; trade test qualification is an advantage.
• Valid driver’s licence and computer literacy on dealership management systems.
