Commercial Truck Sales Executive (Specialist)

About the role

The role is a target‑driven, customer‑facing commercial truck sales position covering Richards Bay, Greater Zululand, uMhlathuze, the Elephant Coast and North Coast. You will generate new business, develop fleet solutions and build lasting relationships with business customers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold‑calling, networking and direct market prospecting.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of commercial vehicle and fleet customers across the assigned territory.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate contracts and close sales while protecting margins.
• Maintain regular contact with existing customers to encourage repeat business and fleet expansion.
• Collaborate with internal sales, finance, parts and after‑sales teams to ensure smooth transaction processing.

Required profile

• 3–5 years proven sales experience in commercial vehicles, trucks, fleet or related automotive sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve or exceed sales targets and develop new business.
• Established network of contacts within transport, logistics, construction, agriculture, mining or related industries is advantageous.
• Valid Code 08 / Code B driver’s licence (Code 14 / EC licence is a plus).
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.
