Commercial Truck Sales Executive – Middelburg & Greater Mpumalanga

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is for a specialist Commercial Truck Sales Executive covering Middelburg and the Greater Mpumalanga Region. The role is highly target‑driven and requires a proactive, hunter‑type salesperson who can generate new business, develop relationships with fleet customers and close vehicle sales both new and used.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and grow commercial vehicle sales throughout the assigned territory.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking and direct prospecting.
• Build and maintain a sustainable pipeline of prospective fleet customers.
• Conduct face‑to‑face visits, understand customer fleet requirements and recommend appropriate vehicle specifications.
• Prepare professional quotations, proposals and sales presentations.
• Negotiate deals while protecting margins and achieving sales targets.
• Maintain accurate CRM records of prospects, activities and pipeline.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• 3–5 years proven sales experience in commercial vehicles, trucks or related industry.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve or exceed sales targets and develop new business.
• Established network of contacts in transport, logistics, construction, mining, agriculture or manufacturing is advantageous.
• Valid Code 08 / Code B driver’s licence (Code 14 / EC licence is a plus).
• Willingness to travel extensively across the territory.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems and maintaining an accurate sales pipeline.
• Computer literacy for preparing quotations, correspondence and sales reports.
