Commercial Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Legal Counsel to support our globally‑oriented organisation operating across the UK, EMEA and the US. The role focuses on commercial contract work while also providing legal support for cross‑border projects in a fast‑paced international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts of varying complexity.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for business units on client contract negotiations and amendments.
• Respond to ad‑hoc legal queries and provide clear, commercial advice.
• Support cross‑border projects, including setting up new entities in different territories.
• Handle regulatory and licensing matters, corporate governance, and pre‑action litigation work.
• Advise on employment, data‑protection, and technology contract issues.
• Deliver training to business teams on relevant legal developments.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with 2‑4 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in‑house or at a recognised law firm.
• Minimum two years’ experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Ability to provide clear, commercial advice to senior stakeholders.
• Proactive relationship‑building with multi‑jurisdictional legal colleagues.
• Interest in working in a demanding, fast‑moving environment.
