Commercial Law Attorney

About the role

We are looking for a driven Commercial Law Attorney to join our legal practice in Bedfordview, Johannesburg. The successful candidate will handle a broad portfolio of commercial, corporate and litigation matters, providing strategic advice and solutions to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, contracts and other legal documents.
• Manage acquisitions, company registrations, trust formations and related corporate matters.
• Oversee liquidations, sequestrations and eviction proceedings.
• Represent clients in complex High Court litigation and provide courtroom advocacy.
• Deliver legal advice, risk assessments and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication.

Required profile

• LLB degree and admission to practice law in South Africa.
• Proven experience in acquisitions, liquidations, sequestrations, evictions and high‑court litigation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters and meet strict deadlines.
• Professional, ethical and solution‑oriented approach.

• Strong legal research and analytical abilities.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and client‑relationship management skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
