Commercial Fleet Manager

About the role

The Commercial Fleet Manager is responsible for developing, managing and growing long‑term relationships with commercial fleet customers, including truck, bus, logistics, mining and public transport operators. The role focuses on driving revenue, contract retention and operational excellence by delivering competitive tyre pricing, professional fitment services, nationwide wholesale supply and reduced vehicle downtime through efficient coordination with operations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, onboard and manage commercial fleet accounts across trucking, logistics, mining, municipal and public transport sectors.
• Negotiate fleet pricing structures, service level agreements, contracts and rebate agreements aligned with margin and volume targets.
• Coordinate tyre fitment services at the Pretoria undercover centre or via mobile solutions at client sites.
• Manage nationwide wholesale tyre supply to customer fleet branches, depots and satellite operations.
• Monitor fleet tyre performance, consumption and replacement cycles to proactively identify upsell and retention opportunities.
• Maintain accurate forecasting, reporting and pipeline management for fleet accounts.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing commercial fleet customers within the tyre, automotive, logistics or transport industry.
• Strong understanding of commercial tyre categories, applications and fitment requirements.
• Ability to negotiate complex fleet contracts and pricing structures.
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.
• Willingness to travel nationally as required.
