About the role

Our client, a reputable law firm based in Bedfordview, Johannesburg, is seeking a Commercial Attorney to strengthen its commercial law team. The successful candidate will provide high‑quality legal advice and support to a diverse portfolio of corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements.
• Provide legal counsel on commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Manage client relationships, ensuring timely and effective communication.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant legislation and case law.
• Collaborate with senior partners and other practice areas on complex matters.

Required profile

• LLB degree and admission as an Attorney of the High Court.
• Proven experience in commercial law, preferably within a corporate or law‑firm environment.
• Self‑motivated, diligent, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Well‑presented, adaptable, and willing to commute to Bedfordview or relocate.
