Collections Team Manager

About the role

Nimble Credit Solutions is looking for a results-driven, people-focused Collections Team Manager to lead its Cape Town team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the manager manages the collections, productivity and administrative performance of a team of Collections Agents, ensuring targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards and supporting team growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and drive performance across collections, productivity and quality targets
• Manage daily team activities and keep agents motivated, supported and equipped to succeed
• Act as escalation point for complex queries and customer complaints
• Ensure compliance with business policies, industry regulations and legislative requirements
• Run regular performance reviews, coaching sessions and staff development initiatives
• Monitor and analyse team performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
• Submit accurate and timely reports to management
• Handle all administrative functions related to the team and perform ad-hoc duties as required

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Team Management role
• Minimum 2 years of management experience in a collections outbound environment
• Credit and criminal clear
• Strong financial acumen and understanding of collections metrics
• Performance-driven, proactive team player with strong leadership presence
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and administrative skills, and commitment to customer-centric behaviour

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
• Conflict management, problem-solving and time management
