Cloud Infrastructure & Microsoft 365 Administrator

About the role

Our client is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure & Microsoft 365 Administrator to manage and optimise Microsoft cloud services, server infrastructure and related technologies. The role is hybrid, based in Tygervalley, Cape Town, and reports directly to the Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Architect.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, including SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online and Intune.
• Manage Azure AD/Entra ID, MFA, Conditional Access, and Azure AD Connect/ADSync.
• Configure and troubleshoot mail flow, Mimecast, and endpoint management.
• Deploy, harden and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Hyper‑V, Proxmox and Veeam backup solutions.
• Install, configure and support Linux servers, including scripting, troubleshooting and SQL Server administration.
• Automate tasks using Windows and Linux scripting and maintain remote monitoring tools such as NinjaOne/NinjaRMM or N‑able.
• Perform AWS administration and intermediate network troubleshooting.
• Handle web‑hosting duties, including WordPress deployment, CDN management, and administration of IIS, NGINX and Apache.

Required profile

• Strong practical experience with Microsoft cloud services and on‑premise server infrastructure.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Specific experience with SharePoint Online is essential.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment and collaborate with senior architects.
