Clinical Nurse Mentor – Rustenburg & Brits

About the role

The Clinical Nurse Mentor will join a support team to provide formal professional guidance to nursing staff in general practice clinics across Rustenburg and Brits. The role focuses on encouraging self‑assessment, analytical thinking and reflective practice to improve patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and support professional nurses implementing NIMART.
• Offer advice on clinical problems and facilitate case discussions.
• Ensure good outcomes for quality‑of‑care indicators, including ART, TB/HIV integration and PMTCT.
• Perform clinical audits and develop quality‑improvement plans.
• Facilitate training sessions where possible.
• Ensure adherence to guidelines and best practice.
• Document lessons learned for programme improvement.
• Co‑operate with the Health Systems Mentor to deliver comprehensive, patient‑friendly services.
• Stay up‑to‑date with developments in the field.
