Clinical Fellowship in Autonomic Disorders

About the role
The Vanderbilt Autonomic Dysfunction Center offers a one‑year intensive clinical training followed by two years of patient‑oriented clinical research focused on autonomic nervous system disorders. Fellows will gain expertise in diagnosing and managing conditions such as orthostatic intolerance, postural tachycardia syndrome, and orthostatic hypotension.
Key responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive clinical evaluation and management of patients with autonomic disorders.
- Perform specialized autonomic function testing and interpret results.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across internal medicine, neurology, and other specialties.
- Design and conduct patient‑oriented clinical research projects.
- Present research findings at conferences and contribute to scholarly publications.
- Participate in educational activities and mentorship of trainees.
Required profile
- Physician Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Neurology, or a related specialty (Clinician pathway) OR Foreign Medical Graduate with ECFMG certification (Research pathway).
- Strong interest in autonomic disorders and multidisciplinary care.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
