About the role
The Client Support Consultant provides professional, efficient, and high‑quality customer service within Discovery's Technical Support Centre. Working in a fast‑paced contact‑centre environment, you will handle complex queries, deliver accurate product information and ensure client satisfaction exceeds expectations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide telephonic and email support to internal and external customers.
- Investigate and resolve complaints related to policies, protocols and benefits.
- Track trends, compile feedback and report findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate daily, weekly and monthly performance statistics.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners and internal departments to facilitate swift query resolution.
- Stay up‑to‑date with Discovery Employee Benefits schemes, in‑house products, protocols and policies.
- Perform data analysis and generate reports for various stakeholders.
Required profile
- High sense of urgency and strong client‑service orientation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proactive, action‑oriented with good judgement and problem‑solving skills.
Required skills
- Minimum NQF Level 6 equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge of employee benefits (retirement schemes and group risk schemes) is advantageous.
- At least 1 year of customer‑service experience in a contact‑centre environment.
- Proven track record of resolving client queries.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
