Client Relationship Advisor

About the role

Aon South Africa is seeking a Client Relationship Advisor to join its Commercial Team. This hybrid position allows you to work virtually and from either the Sandton or Bloemfontein office. You will be responsible for maintaining, retaining, and servicing commercial insurance clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and portfolio growth.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of commercial clients.
• Manage the full client life‑cycle, including renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and new business support.
• Drive client satisfaction, retention, revenue, and profitability through upselling and cross‑selling.
• Negotiate terms and discounts with insurers and present renewal proposals to clients.
• Coordinate with the admin team to finalize renewal documentation.
• Handle credit control and process refunds where applicable.
• Answer client calls in the contact centre and provide professional, compliant advice on coverage, limits, and policy wording.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Registered representative with the FSCA under the FAIS Act.
• Licensed with the IISL.
• Strong understanding of commercial short‑term insurance policy wordings and products.
• Knowledge of South African and international short‑term insurance markets is advantageous.
