Client Relations Consultant – Northmead Benoni

About the role

The Client Relations Consultant will deliver a positive customer experience by understanding client needs, providing accurate product information and guiding customers through the appropriate service channels. This role supports Old Mutual’s commitment to African growth and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced product and service information to customers.
• Record and process customer orders, selecting the best approach from predefined options.
• Handle basic and advanced customer issues, including returns, exchanges, complaints and escalations.
• Prospect and develop relationships with allocated potential customers via phone or in‑person visits.
• Enter accurate data into the CRM system after each customer interaction.
• Interview customers using a multilevel sales script to clarify requirements.
• Deliver exceptional service to encourage renewals and continued use of Old Mutual products.
• Adhere to organisational policies, regulatory codes and operational compliance standards.
• Participate in training and development activities to maintain technical proficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum education: NQF Level 4 – Grade 12 or equivalent.
