Client Engagement Representative – Inbound SDR

About the role

We are looking for a confident and highly organised Client Engagement Representative to handle inbound enquiries, qualify prospects and schedule appointments for our licensed professionals. The role is fully remote, serving customers in South Africa while working on Eastern Time business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls promptly and create a positive first impression.
• Gather preliminary information using approved scripts and qualify leads.
• Schedule qualified appointments and ensure warm handovers to licensed staff.
• Follow up on missed calls, warm leads and previously engaged prospects.
• Maintain accurate CRM notes, lead statuses and callback information.
• Conduct occasional outbound prospecting when inbound volume allows.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in inbound sales, appointment setting or a phone‑based client‑facing environment.
• Excellent spoken and written English with a professional telephone manner.
• Strong rapport‑building, active listening and questioning skills.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and able to work independently in a remote setting.

Required skills

• Experience with a CRM or client‑management system.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with Slack for team communication.
