Client Accountant / Drafter

About the role

We are a boutique finance partner based in Kloof, KwaZulu-Natal, supporting entrepreneurs with comprehensive accounting services. The role combines client‑accounting responsibilities with drafting of financial documentation for a diverse portfolio of businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare annual financial statements and supporting working papers.
• Execute accounting‑related projects such as system reviews and tax computations.
• Attend physical stock counts and provide day‑to‑day support to client accounting departments.
• File provisional and annual income tax returns for companies, close corporations, individuals and trusts.
• Manage queries with SARS and the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC).

Required profile

• Minimum undergraduate degree in accounting.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Pastel Partner.
• Experience using Sage One.
• Familiarity with Xero.
• Ability to file returns via SARS e‑filing.
• Advanced Excel and Word skills.
• Knowledge of Caseware.
