About the role
The Department of Correctional Services (DCS) is recruiting a Clerk Stores: Transit for Kroonstad Training College. The post is advertised under reference HO 2026/11/98, is based in Kroonstad, Free State, and carries a salary of R237 453 per annum. It is an appointment under the Public Service Act.
Key responsibilities
- Safekeeping of items in transit
- Bar coding of assets received
- Acknowledging receipts and maintaining the issue voucher register
- Monitoring movement and face value forms
- Checking stock received for quality and quantity
- Management of assets
Required profile
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification; no experience required
- Knowledge of LOGIS, LAP and related experience in a comparable environment is an added advantage
- Computer literate
Required skills
- Knowledge of PFMA and Treasury Regulations
- Knowledge of the supply chain management framework and government procurement processes
- Communication, problem solving, decision making and people management
- Integrity, confidentiality and good interpersonal relations
