About the role
Transnet Company is hiring cleaners and general workers for its facilities in Polokwane, South Africa. The position involves opening and closing twist locks on container wagons and carrying out a variety of cleaning and terminal duties. Applicants should have at least a Grade 10 education, be physically fit and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Open and close twist locks of container wagons.
- Clean buildings, containers and surrounding work areas.
- Perform ad‑hoc terminal duties such as basic office work and security tasks.
- Assist with maintaining overall site cleanliness and safety standards.
Required profile
- Grade 10 or Level 2 education.
- Physically fit, safety‑conscious and people‑oriented.
- Ability to read and write basic instructions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
