C&I Sales Manager

About the role

Jelocorp is seeking an experienced, commercially driven Business Developer to accelerate growth in South Africa’s renewable energy market. The role focuses on Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar and battery storage solutions, leveraging industry networks to create new opportunities and strategic partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with EPC contractors, solar distributors and key industry stakeholders.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities across mining, industrial and commercial sectors.
• Generate qualified project leads and build a sustainable pipeline using existing networks.
• Design tailored solar PV and battery energy storage solutions that meet technical and commercial client requirements.
• Conduct financial modelling, ROI analysis, payback calculations and develop financing structures.
• Lead commercial negotiations, manage contracts (PPAs, turnkey agreements) and oversee the sales process from opportunity to handover.
• Monitor renewable energy regulations, carbon credit opportunities and ensure compliance with South African B‑BBEE requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, EPC partners and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, technical sales or key account management within renewable energy, battery manufacturing, energy storage or related industrial sectors.
• Proven ability to generate qualified leads and close commercial agreements.
• Strong understanding of South African renewable energy regulations and B‑BBEE compliance.
