Chief Financial Officer

About the role

This senior finance leadership position reports to the executive team and is responsible for overseeing all financial management, reporting, governance and operational finance functions within a fund environment. The CFO will ensure accurate, timely delivery of statutory and management reports while supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the fund’s financial strategy in line with overall organisational goals.
• Design, implement and monitor financial controls to safeguard data integrity.
• Prepare, present and manage budgets, cost‑centre submissions and month‑end financial reports.
• Lead General Ledger reconciliations and oversee statutory and regulatory reporting obligations.
• Engage with governance bodies, regulators and senior stakeholders on financial, compliance and performance matters.
• Coach, develop and manage the finance team, handling recruitment, performance reviews and disciplinary actions.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant qualification or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in fund management or similar financial environments.
• Proven ability to work with senior governance structures and executive leadership.
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic financial thinking.
