Chief Commercial Officer

About the role

Our client, a Johannesburg‑based organisation, is looking for a Chief Commercial Officer to lead its commercial strategy within the telecommunications sector. The role will drive sustainable revenue growth, market expansion and new revenue opportunities while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the commercial strategy, covering sales, pricing, innovation and customer experience.
• Lead market expansion initiatives and optimise the product portfolio to maximise revenue.
• Oversee the end‑to‑end commercial function, including sales, marketing integration and business growth.
• Ensure compliance with Network and WASPA regulations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and influence board‑level decisions.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in sales, business development and commercial leadership.
• Proven track record of revenue growth and market expansion at executive or senior level.
• Honours degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field (MBA advantageous).
