Chief BIM Modeller – Structures & Data Centers

About the role

The Chief BIM Modeller will lead the creation and coordination of structural BIM models for data centre projects. Working within AECOM’s global infrastructure team, you will ensure high‑quality deliverables that meet client requirements and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Model and produce detailed structural drawings using Autodesk Revit or Bentley OpenBuildings with minimal supervision.
• Act as BIM Lead Verifier, ensuring compliance with the BIM Execution Plan and company BIM standards.
• Coordinate and review project BIM models, checking completeness and accuracy before senior review.
• Develop coordination strategies using Navisworks and manage model submissions through BIM 360.
• Guide junior staff, organize work to meet deadlines, and stay current with the latest BIM software and techniques.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience in concrete and steel structure modelling.
• At least 7 years of hands‑on Revit modelling experience.
• BIM qualification or a bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering.
• Strong analytical, numerical and commercial awareness skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Autodesk BIM 360 and Navisworks.
• Experience with Dynamo, Grasshopper and Python for computational design.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM standards implementation.
