About the role
The Chemo Mixing Nurse will be based in the Pharmacy Division of Netcare Hospital, providing specialised chemotherapy preparation and administration on a part‑time basis. The role starts with two days per week (Tuesday and Thursday) and may evolve into a full‑time position.
Key responsibilities
- Infuse chemotherapy, oral and IMI treatments safely and accurately.
- Interpret physician prescriptions and prepare corresponding medication mixes.
- Compile and submit treatment authorisations using SAOC or ICON eath software.
- Perform general administrative duties related to chemotherapy services.
Required profile
- Qualified nurse (EE and non‑EE candidates accepted).
- Fully computer literate.
- Complete fluency in spoken and written Afrikaans.
- Strong communication, accuracy, and ability to work under high pressure.
