Checker – Goods & Containers (GR1)

About the role

The Checker (GR1) ensures that all goods and containers are accurately assembled, packed, weighed, stacked, loaded, unloaded, marked and recorded according to DP World’s standard operating procedures. This position supports smooth warehouse operations and contributes to overall customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform checking activities for assembling, packing, weighing, stacking, loading, unloading, marking and addressing of goods or containers.
• Enter or record details of goods/containers manually or electronically in line with predefined objectives.
• Execute work according to operating procedures, service level agreements and compliance processes.
• Plan and organise daily tasks to meet performance targets and adhere to SOPs.
• Provide continuous feedback on task delivery to support decision‑making.
• Participate in learning initiatives to improve quality and develop personal skills.

Required profile

• Upper secondary education (Grade 12 / NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
• Up to 3 years of experience in a similar environment.
• At least 1 year of managerial or specialist experience.
